Canva is a free professional design platform that is made for the everyday person. It comes with templates and pre-sized marketing materials with drag-and-drop functionalities to customize them to your brand.
Once you log into Canva, you’re brought to a pretty user friendly landing page with different options for materials that you can use for your company. If you click on “Create a design,” Canva provides even more intuitive templates. All of the options might seem pretty overwhelming but the ones we want to hone in on the most are at the very bottom: Facebook Ad.
Canva provides all the assets to make sure your Facebook ad image fits their criteria without your additional work & research. It’s provided templates inherently acknowledges that text must be less than 20% of the image and it’s page is adjusted to the correct image ratio. From there, there is capabilities to upload your own unique image background, update the text, and add other graphics.
The Canva platform has hundreds of free images and unique fonts that your company can take advantage of, in addition to your own which can be uploaded into the platform. The images come with a simple photo editor where you can easily add filters, change brightness, crop and manipulate the image.
Canva also allows for collaboration among team members and has the capability of “sharing” your project with other people who then have access to the file. Canva makes designing something together seamless and simple.
The best part about Canva is you don’t need to be a professional graphic designer to use it. It’s made to be used by people who don’t have a background in design and provides suggestions as to how to create beautiful imagery throughout the process.
Finally, when you have created something you’re proud of – Canva allows you to download your project as a JPG, PNG (transparent), PNG (regular) or as a PDF. Next step – share it!
