Content Manager

Job Overview

The Marketing Supply Co. content manager is ultimately responsible for organically growing our clients’ brands, including our own. We are looking for a content manager who has experience across multiple business models including, but not limited to, B2C, B2B, SaaS and D2C (agency experience preferred). Our ideal content manager is a natural creative who can bounce from writing copy to creating a content calendar to analyzing data in Google Analytics—and back again. You should be at the forefront of trends—in regards to digital content and just about everything else. You should also love dogs, like, really love dogs.

Marketing Supply Co. is a startup marketing and growth agency headquartered in Detroit, MI. Our clients are across the board, but we are very passionate about working with Detroit startups who need digital marketing assistance. We function as a full-service digital agency—our services range from running social and SEM ads to blog writing to graphic design (and everything in between).

What You’ll Do: 

  • Act as the point of contact (POC) for all current and potential content and social media clients
  • Analyze the content team’s efforts in Google’s suite of marketing tools & other reporting tools (SEMRush and/or Moz experience preferred). Make suggestions/changes to strategy based on insights
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) of each client in regards to content and social media
  • Create content calendars based on keyword research and SEO best practices/strategy
  • Report on the performance of on-site and off-site content
  • Perform SEO Audits and create plans for implementation during client onboarding
  • Lead weekly meetings with the content and social team
  • Love dogs

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Creative Writing or related fields—or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of content marketing and creation experience, preferably in a startup or agency environment
  • A proven track record of planning and executing content marketing initiatives
  • Advanced understanding of how content functions within SEO and technical SEO
  • Strong copywriting & copy editing abilities
  • Experience working in WordPress CMS
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with data
  • Positive, passionate, organized, hard-working, comfortable in a startup environment
  • Not afraid to challenge others, and seeks direct, immediate feedback
